Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 7 on-7 off graveyard shift (8pm–6am). The role requires ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification (or cross-training) and IV competency within 30 days, with a potential sign-on bonus up to $7,500 and relocation assistance where applicable.

You will perform diagnostic MRI exams, work with radiologists and clinicians, and ensure high-quality imaging while adhering to MRI safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certifications or cross-training in MRI
• BLS certification for healthcare providers
• IV competency within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT MR or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adheres to MRI safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality.
• Assists and instructs students and other MRI Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.
• Provides appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses concerns.
• Practices infection control and sterile techniques.
• Understands and operates equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions.
