Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 7 on/7 off graveyard shift (8pm–6am). You will perform diagnostic MRI exams, collaborate with radiologists, and maintain quality imaging in a fast-paced environment. A sign-on bonus up to $7,500 and relocation assistance may be available.

The role requires ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification (or cross-training), BLS, and IV competency within 30 days of hire, with opportunities to train and mentor others.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT MRI certification or cross-training completed.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• IV competency within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain MRI competency (ARRT/ARMRIT) in all functions.
• Verify patient identity and prepare for exams.
• Perform exams per protocol; review image quality.
• Adhere to MRI safety guidelines.
• Complete studies within time limits.
• Instruct students and other MRI staff.
• Educate patients and ensure comfort.
• Follow infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operate equipment and related information systems.
• Keep accurate patient records.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, and QC; report equipment failures.
