Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team for a full-time evening shift (12:30 PM–9:00 PM). You will operate MRI scanners, image patients, and provide patient-centered service while supporting the department’s operations and accreditation needs.

Responsibilities include patient screening, proper positioning, parameter adjustment, and accurate record-keeping, with opportunities to train and guide new staff and participate in protocol updates.

Qualifications

  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist in good standing.
  • Graduate of an AMA‑approved school of radiography.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the applicable state (if required).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
  • Certification in an imaging specialty.

  • Screen patients and prepare them for MRI exams.
  • Adjust scan parameters and follow physician orders.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the Radiology Information System.
  • Support imaging protocol manuals and software upgrades.
  • Assist with inventory and training of new staff.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Job description

Job Overview

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. This full‑time position requires 40 hours per week, 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM. As an MRI technologist you will operate scanners to produce diagnostic images, provide patient‑centered service, and support the department.

Key Responsibilities

Patient MRI Imaging (90%)

  • Screen patients before exams for precautions or contraindications using dual identifiers.
  • Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, positioning them for accurate imaging.
  • Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision, guiding patients throughout.
  • Adjust scan parameters as needed and follow physician orders precisely.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the Radiology Information System.
  • Keep work area clean, equipment ordered, and promote safety for patients and staff.
  • Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.

MRI Department Support (5%)

  • Assist with the imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies.
  • Help train new associates with technical expertise.

Other Tasks (5%)

  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications

Required

  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
  • Graduate of an AMA‑approved school of radiography.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the applicable state (if required).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
  • Certification in an imaging specialty.
