Qualifications

• ARRT/ARMRIT certified technologist in good standing.
• Graduate of AMA‑approved radiography program.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients before exams and identify precautions.
• Explain procedures, position patients, and ensure comfort.
• Perform routine and advanced MRI scans on designated body parts.

Job Summary

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to operate assigned scanner(s) to produce diagnostic images. The position is full-time 40 hours per week, 1:30pm – 9:30pm. A $2500 sign‑on bonus is offered.

Key responsibilities include patient screening, explaining procedures, performing routine and advanced MRI scans, adjusting parameters, maintaining records in the Radiology Information System, ensuring safety, maintaining equipment, and supporting the department.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers.
• Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures, positions patients, and explains the process.
• Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body parts with minimal supervision, while supporting patients.
• Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed.
• Follows physicians’ orders, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within RIS.
• Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting safety for patients and coworkers.
• Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
• Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
• Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary.
• Assists with training new associates, providing resources and technical expertise.
• Completes other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
• Graduate of an AMA‑approved school of radiography.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Training and experience sufficient to perform MRI procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Preferred

• Bilingual.
