Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist for a temporary/PRN position to operate MRI scanners and produce diagnostic images while delivering exceptional patient care. You will perform routine and advanced MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the exam.

Qualified candidates will be ARRT/ARMRIT registered, with a state radiologic licensure if required, CPR certification, and the ability to perform MRI procedures independently.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiography.
  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Enough training and experience to perform MRI procedures independently.
  • Certification in an imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images.
  • Screen and prepare patients for MRI procedures.
  • Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Adjust MRI scan parameters as needed.
  • Follow physicians' orders and safety regulations; record data in RIS.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and disinfect equipment after use.
  • Maintain MRI equipment and ensure accreditation requirements are met.
  • Assist in training new team members.

Job description

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. This temporary/PRN position involves operating MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care.

As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will be responsible for operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes, utilizing a patient-centered approach and maintaining professional standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
  1. Screens patients before exam for precautions or contradictions, using two identifiers.
  2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures, positioning them appropriately.
  3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision, providing patient support during scans.
  4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters as needed.
  5. Follows physicians' orders, adheres to safety regulations, and records data in RIS.
  6. Maintains a clean work area and sanitizes equipment for safety.
  7. Maintains equipment in working order, cleaning and disinfecting after use.
  8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
(5%) MRI Department Support
  1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
  2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies.
  3. Assists in training new team members, providing resources and expertise.
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required
