Job summary

RAYUS Radiology in Riverton, Utah is seeking an MRI Technologist for a PRN position. The ideal candidate will operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include screening patients, conducting MRI procedures, and maintaining equipment.

Job description

Job Summary

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. This PRN position is scheduled as needed. The MRI technologist will operate assigned scanner(s) to produce diagnostic images and provide excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
  1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
  2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures, positioning patients for appropriate imaging
  3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body with minimal supervision, providing patient support throughout the procedure
  4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
  5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within RIS
  6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area, sanitizing equipment and promoting safety habits
  7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
  8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
(5%) MRI Department Support
  1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
  2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
  3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resources and technical expertise, as applicable
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Other tasks as needed.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
  • Certification in imaging specialty
