Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist in Plymouth, Minnesota. In this full-time role, you will operate MRI scanners to produce images for diagnostic purposes while ensuring excellent patient care and safety standards. The position includes a Monday to Friday schedule with evening shifts and weekend rotations, plus training opportunities in MRI.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
  • Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

Job description

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient’s body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient‑centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.

Full‑time position, Monday‑Friday 2:00pm‑10:30pm, includes weekend rotation, no call.

Willing to train you in MRI.

Pay range: $30.00 – $50.29 based on direct and relevant experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
  1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure.
  2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure and positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned.
  3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal supervision or repeated scans, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout the procedure.
  4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed.
  5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS).
  6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members.
  7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use.
  8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
(5%) MRI Department Support
  1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
  2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary.
  3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Respective tasks will be completed as needed within the department.

Required
  • High School diploma, or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
  • Certification in imaging specialty.
Preferred
  • Bilingual.
