Job summary

Insight Imaging is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist in Royal Pines, North Carolina. You will operate MRI scanners to provide excellent diagnostic imaging services to patients and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, be a graduate of an AMA-approved radiography program, and possess ARRT or ARMRIT certification. A supportive work environment with various benefits is offered.

Job description

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a full‑time MRI Technologist for a 4‑day work week. You will operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images while providing excellent patient service.

Patient MRI Imaging (90%)
  1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
  2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures, positioning them appropriately for scanning.
  3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body portions with minimal supervision, supporting patients throughout the process.
  4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed.
  5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area, sanitizing equipment and promoting safety for patients and team members.
  7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects after each use.
  8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
MRI Department Support (5%)
  • Assists with updating imaging protocol manuals and software upgrades.
  • Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary.
  • Assists in training new team members, providing resources and technical expertise.
Other Tasks (5%)

Completes additional tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, per state regulations.
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the applicable state, if required.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Has sufficient training and experience to perform MRI procedures independently.
  • Certification in an imaging specialty.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual proficiency.
