Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist for a full-time role in Beaverton, Oregon. The successful candidate will perform MRI procedures, screen and explain procedures to patients, and maintain equipment and safety regulations.

This position involves 40 hours per week with shifts from 11:30am to 10:00pm. Candidates must have a high school diploma, graduate from an AMA approved program, and possess necessary certifications.

Qualifications

  • Must be ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist with state required licensing.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • Sufficient training and experience to perform MRI procedures independently.

Job description

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week; shifts are 4 - 10 from 11:30am to 10:00pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
  1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure.
  2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure and positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned.
  3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal supervision or repeated scans, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure.
  4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed.
  5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS).
  6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area, including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members.
  7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use.
  8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
(5%) MRI Department Support
  1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
  2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary.
  3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable.
(5%) Completes Other Tasks as Assigned

Other related tasks as necessary to support the MRI department.

Required Qualifications
  1. High School diploma, or equivalent.
  2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
  3. ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need.
  4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
  7. Certification in imaging specialty.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Bilingual.
