Job summary

Horrocks seeks a Design-Build MOT Lead/Manager for its Innovative Pursuits Team to drive transportation projects across the Mountain West region. You will lead MOT engineering teams, coordinate with disciplines, and work with contractor partners to develop schemes from pursuit through execution.

The role requires a PE license and 10+ years of MOT/traffic control design leadership, with strong client communication and organizational skills. Travel across the Rocky Mountain Region is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading MOT/traffic control designs for infrastructure projects
• 3+ years of DOT DB or PDB experience
• Must be able to work effectively as a team leader and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients
• Outstanding client and personnel skills and the ability to persuasively communicate at all levels
• Organized and detail-oriented

Responsibilities

• Lead MOT engineering teams for transportation DB and/or PDB pursuits and projects
• Coordinate with other discipline leads
• Integral member of the project delivery team
• Lead MOT design design
• Work with contractor partner to develop MOT schemes during pursuits and final traffic control plans during project execution
• Knowledge and experience with Microstation, OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Work effectively as a team leader and maintain positive relationships with clients and staff
• Be assigned to local and Rocky Mountain Region wide projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients, staff, and management
• Proven history of meeting project deadlines
• Grow personally and professionally with each project while delivering designs and drawings
