Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform certified DOT inspections, PMs, light repairs, and advanced trailer work on-site at customer locations across the region. You will handle brakes, air lines, pumps, engines, liftgates, welding, and fabrication, while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

The role emphasizes independence, strong time management, and the ability to work with clients to assess needs and provide accurate estimates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field (Trailers).
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
• CDL Class C License is required
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months
• ASE 608/609, T4, T5, T6, T7 certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive Maintenance and repairs on trailers and equipment at customer sites.
• Document repairs and findings using company app and RO system.
• Repair trailer brakes, air lines, pumps, engines, liftgates, braces.
• Diagnose electrical components and follow DOT/OSHA compliance.
• Maintain service truck and inventory; manage daily schedule.
