Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs at customer sites. This on-site role requires handling trailer brakes, air lines, pumps, engines, liftgates, and frame work, with supervision from a senior technician when needed.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma and DOT-related training or experience, plus a valid driver's license and CDL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; DOT-related training preferred.
• Experience with DOT inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Must meet DOT/motor carrier requirements and hold a valid CDL license.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on trailers and equipment.
• Document work using iOS TRAIT app and upload RO details with photos.
• Troubleshoot electrical components and perform minor repairs.
• Maintain safety practices and manage parts inventory on a service truck.
• Coordinate with customers and management for approvals and scheduling.
