Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance inspections, light repairs, and related duties at customer sites. You will work under supervision of senior technicians and contribute to high performance metrics while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years’ related field experience preferred.
• ASE certifications within 18 months are required/preferred.
• Class CDL C required; DOT/FMCSA regulations apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on trailers with minimal supervision.
• Document work and upload RO photos using TRAIT app on an iOS device.
• Diagnose electrical components and perform repairs on trailer systems.
• Maintain and operate company service truck; conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Coordinate parts with approved vendors and obtain approvals on repair estimates.
