Cox Automotive, CoxFleet, is hiring Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs at customer sites. This on-site role requires independent work, strict adherence to safety standards, and the ability to manage RO documentation and parts inventory.

The role emphasizes field service, with opportunities to learn advanced mechanical skills under supervision while maintaining a high level of performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and related training.
• Able to perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of trailer brakes, air lines and hydraulics.
• Familiarity with repair documentation and safety procedures.

Responsabilités

• Perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Document work and upload photos using company apps and RO system.
• Perform minor and major repairs on trailer systems including brakes and electricals.
• Complete DOT forms accurately and manage repair estimates and PO numbers.
• Diagnose electrical components and follow safety practices in field settings.
• Maintain and operate service truck and perform pre/post trip checks.
