Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II for on-site work nationwide. You will perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and related tasks at customer sites, with supervision from senior techs as needed.

The role requires working evenings, rotating shifts, and maintaining safety standards while delivering quality service to fleets across the country.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 years related trailer experience.
• Must possess a set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge; able to pass pre-employment DOT screening.
• Valid driver’s license; able to operate service vehicle.
• ASE T8 certification or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trailers with minimal supervision.
• Document work in RO using TRAIT app and upload related documents.
• Diagnose electrical components and safety systems on trailers.
• Maintain parts inventory and operate service truck with safety checks.
• Ensure compliance with safety and DOT regulations.
