Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform certified DOT inspections, PMs, light repairs, and more at customer sites across the region. This is a dedicated on-site role requiring CDL-C and DOT compliance, with safety-first work culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; 3 years’ experience in trailers.
• Must possess and supply hand tools.
• CDL Class C license required; DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical may be required.
• ASE T8 certification within 18 months; ASE T4/T5/T6/T7 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Document work using RO, photos, and TRAIT app.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot trailer systems including brakes and air lines.
• Maintain service truck and conduct pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with management for approvals and RO notes.
• Operate hand tools, welding equipment, and trailer-related gear.
