Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to join our on-site team. This role performs certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and trailer systems work at customer sites.

Based in the United States, this is a remote-friendly position with a strong emphasis on safety, documentation via TRAIT app and iOS device, and a $2,500 new-hire bonus paid in two installments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with related experience.
• DOT inspections and preventive maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic electrical diagnostics and trailer systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs on trailers with minimal supervision.
• Document findings and parts using the TRAIT app on an iOS device.
• Inspect and repair trailer brakes, air lines, pumps, engines and related systems.
• Maintain safety, follow procedures, and manage parts inventory for service trucks.
• Communicate with customers and dispatch, and complete all required forms.
