Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs on trailers at customer sites. You will handle tasks like brakes, air lines, liftgates, and electrical diagnostics, under supervision when needed.

Possess the ability to work independently, manage parts inventory, and maintain company vehicle and safety standards. Prior DOT experience is beneficial; on-site location emphasizes reliability and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and relevant trailer field experience.
• DOT safety/compliance awareness and ability to pass pre-employment checks.
• Experience with DOT inspections and basic trailer maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailers and equipment with minimal supervision.
• Document work in Repair Orders using iOS and TRAIT app; attach photos and parts used.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components and replace parts as needed.
• Maintain safety practices and manage daily schedule and parts inventory.
• Interact with customers to assess needs and provide timely updates and estimates.
