Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II for on-site work on trailers and equipment. You will perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and related tasks at customer sites.

The role requires independent work, adherence to safety rules, and collaboration with senior technicians. The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma or GED, CDL Class C, and ASE T8 PMI certification within 18 months, with DOT medical card.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with related field experience; or 5 years in related field.
• CDL Class C license required; DOT/ FMCSA compliance knowledge.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months preferred.
• DOT medical card with adequate remaining validity required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections and repairs on trailers with minimal supervision.
• Document work and upload RO photos using iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Diagnose electrical components and perform adjustments on trailer systems.
• Manage parts inventory and operate the service truck; conduct safety checks.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and complete pre-/post-trip inspections.
