Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs at customer sites across our network. This role emphasizes on-site work, safety compliance, and independent scheduling while collaborating with Sr Technicians for more complex repairs.

The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma/ GED with trailer-related experience, a valid CDL Class C license, hand tools, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced mobilized environment with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field (Trailers) or equivalent
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance and DOT background check/medical
• CDL Class C license required, ASE certifications preferred and within 18 months

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailers and equipment with minimal supervision
• Document work using RO system, upload pictures, parts used, and findings
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components and DT forms
• Maintain and operate company service truck, perform pre-/post-trip inspections
• Identify problems and select appropriate tools and procedures
• Provide safe, compliant service at customer sites
