Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and other duties at customer sites. This is a dedicated on-site position and we do not provide emergency roadside service.

The Mobile Trailer Technician II will work under a Sr Mobile Trailer Technician, document work using TRAIT, manage tools, and ensure safety and compliance. This role requires solid trailer experience and adherence to DOT guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with related trailer field experience; or equivalent combination.
• ASE certifications preferred but not required.
• Possess and maintain a set of hand tools needed for the job.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on trailers; complete follow-up repairs.
• Document work using RO with photos via iOS and TRAIT app.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues; perform repairs as directed.
• Maintain safety procedures and comply with OSHA, EPA, and DOT rules.
