Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II - DOT to perform certified inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs on customer trailers at on-site locations. You will document findings, manage parts, and ensure safety standards are met.

The role requires DOT experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a mobile environment. On-site work and travel are involved, with a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of trailer-related experience.
• Must be able to pass a DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently in a single-tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on trailers with minimal supervision.
• Document repairs and parts using TRAIT app on an iOS device.
• Diagnose and repair trailer systems including brakes, air lines, and electrical components.
• Manage parts inventory and operate company service truck safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety regulations.
