Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs at customer sites. This on-site role supports fleet services nationwide with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

The technician will work remotely in the defined city/region, handle documentation via TRAIT, and collaborate with Sr Technicians. A 3‑year trailer/background and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of trailer-related experience.
• ASE certifications preferred (T8/T4/T5 etc.).
• DOT regulations knowledge required and ability to pass DOT physical/background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on trailers and equipment with minimal supervision.
• Document work in the Repair Orders using iOS and TRAIT app.
• Diagnose and repair trailer systems including brakes, air lines, pumps, engines, and related components.
