Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs at customer sites. Work is on-site with potential remote options based on location, with 100% travel in a mobile/field environment.

The role requires the ability to diagnose electrical components, manage parts and tools, and comply with safety policies. ASE certifications and ASE T4-T7 are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with minimum trailer experience.
• ASE 608/609 and other ASE certifications preferred.
• Ability to read DOT forms and complete documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs with minimal supervision.
• Document work using RO system and upload photos on company app.
• Diagnose electrical components and safely operate tools and equipment.
• Maintain and manage parts inventory and service truck; perform pre/post-trip checks.
• Communicate with customers and management to obtain approvals and updates.
