Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II for on-site work delivering mobile maintenance and repairs for trailers and equipment. This role focuses on certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, light repairs, and advanced mechanical tasks at customer sites, with a strong emphasis on safety and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 3 years’ experience in a related field (Trailers).
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge is preferred.
• Candidate must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs, DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs with minimal supervision.
• Document work performed, parts used, and findings on RO using iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Diagnose and repair trailer equipment including brakes, air lines, pumps, engines, liftgates, and weld/fabrication as needed.
• Maintain service vehicle and conduct pre/post trip safety inspections.
• Communicate with management for approvals on estimates and RO details.
