Job summary

The Auto Club Group is seeking a Service Vehicle Operator to respond to roadside service calls, assist AAA members with jump starts, tire changes, lockouts, and safely tow vehicles when needed. This field-based role may involve driving in varying conditions and requires a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

You will operate service vehicles, document daily activities, use tablets to manage calls, and uphold DOT procedures.

Qualifications

• Required High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver's license with minimal driving infractions/incidents.
• Must successfully pass drug screening, motor vehicle record review, criminal background check, and DOT physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside assistance requests from AAA members using a tow truck or service vehicle.
• Provide emergency roadside services, including tire changes, fuel delivery, battery testing and installation, jump starts, lockout assistance, and minor mechanical adjustments.
• Safely tow disabled vehicles following established procedures and towing guidelines.
• Verify AAA membership and deliver outstanding customer service during every interaction.
• Complete pre‑trip and post‑trip DOT inspections and report vehicle maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a clean and professional service vehicle.
• Utilize tablets and electronic devices to manage calls, update service requests, and access towing procedures.
• Accurately document daily activities, service calls, vehicle logs, and receipts.
• Maintain DOT certification and an acceptable driving record.
• Achieve goals related to member satisfaction, safety, productivity, and battery services.
• Support community and special AAA events as needed.
