Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Reefer Trailer Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs on refrigerated trailers at customer sites. This on-site role requires strong mechanical skills, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years on refrigerated equipment, valid DOT credentials, and ASE certifications. Training and a defined career path are provided to support growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; 3+ years in related field.
• ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609 certifications preferred/required within 18 months.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on refrigerated equipment.
• Diagnose and repair compressors, coils, and electrical components.
• Maintain parts inventory on company truck and document RO in TRAIT app.
• Complete DOT forms accurately and timely; follow safety standards.
