Job summary

Cox Fleet, headquartered in Indianapolis, is hiring a Reefer Trailer Technician II for on-site work at customer locations. You will perform certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs on refrigerated trailers and related equipment.

The role involves working with chains of command, documenting work, and maintaining safety standards. The Mobile Trailer Technician II may handle more advanced repairs under supervision and is expected to learn advanced mechanical skills while

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED with 3 years in related field.
At least 3 years of refrigerated equipment experience.
Certified to handle refrigerants R134, R404, R410 and others.
Own set of hand tools.
DOT/FMCSA training and successful pre-employment screening required.
Valid driver’s license with interstate operating ability.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration equipment and trailers at customer sites.
Diagnose and replace compressors, coils, electrical components, etc.
Maintain safe operating practices and manage parts inventory.
Document work on RO using iOS device and TRAIT app.
Coordinate with customers and management on repairs and estimates.
Complete DOT forms accurately and timely.
