Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Mobile Engineer to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems, from mechanical to plumbing and life safety, ensuring reliability and safety for client facilities.

You will review work orders, estimate materials, manage inventory, and lead preventive maintenance programs while complying with codes and client specifications. Strong drive, safety mindset, and ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
• Universal CFC certification.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Meet the physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting 50 lbs+.
• Ability to exercise judgment from multiple information sources.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs to mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems.
• Review work orders, estimate time and materials, maintain inventory of supplies/tools.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs and oversee repairs.
• Review inspections of building/industrial systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing).
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Operate company vehicles in daily work.
• Apply standard principles to complex assignments and provide solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across disciplines.
• Lead by example and align with CBRE RISE values to build consensus.
• Impact a range of customer, operational, and service activities within teams.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies.
