Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems while working with trailers and welding/fabrication tasks as needed.

The role requires a HS diploma/GED, 3+ years' related experience, ASE certifications, and a valid driver’s license. You will document work orders via TRAIT app and maintain the company vehicle and tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with 3+ years field experience.
• ASE T8 certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA knowledge and compliance.
• Valid driver’s license and at least 21 years old.
• Own set of hand tools to perform required duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and repairs on trucks in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and driveline systems.
• Inspect trailers and perform welding, fabrication, and panel replacement as needed.
• Document RO details and upload photos using the TRAIT app.
• Maintain service truck and manage parts inventory daily.
