Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in a field/mobile environment. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling systems, engines, and transmissions, including trailers, with safety-focused procedures.

Role requires high school diploma or GED, tool kit, and DOT compliance. On-site work with potential remote options in specified regions; comprehensive benefits and career growth available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3+ years in related field, or equivalent combination.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools to perform required duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months; DOT/FMCSA prerequisites must be met.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Inspect trailers and perform diagnostics, welding, fabrication, and panel replacements as needed.
• Maintain vehicle/service truck, conduct pre/post-trip safety checks, and document RO with TRAIT app.
