Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to mid-range repairs in a mobile/field setting. This role involves diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, with supervision for advanced diagnostics as needed.

Ideal candidates will have a HS diploma, 3 years related experience or 5 years alternate experience, ASE certifications, and the ability to manage parts and documentation using our TRAIT app.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with related field experience preferred.
• ASE certification (T8) within 18 months; DOT pre-employment checks required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy vehicles in field/mobile settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Operate company service vehicle and manage parts inventory for repairs.
• Document work on RO via iOS device and TRAIT app, including photos and RO notes.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety regulations.
