Job summary

Cox Automotive’s Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose diverse truck systems and manage parts on a company truck while documenting work via TRAIT.

Hours are 11am–7:30pm Tuesday–Saturday, with opportunities for advanced diagnostics and progression under supervision. A strong safety record and DOT compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience.
• ASE certification required within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations and background check eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on mobile/field vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling systems, and diesel engine components.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck; upload RO photos via TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management to obtain approvals and repair estimates.
• Maintain safety checks and DOT compliance.
