Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs in a field setting. You will work under supervision to develop advanced diagnostic skills while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes independence, schedule management, and effective communication with clients to meet repair estimates and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA pre-employment screening requirements.
• ASE T8 (PMI) and other DOT-related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems as needed.
• Maintain inventory on service truck and document repairs with RO using iOS/TRAIT app.
