Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems while maintaining detailed documentation via the TRAIT app.

Work schedule is 10am–6:30pm, Tuesday–Saturday, with travel and remote-work flexibility within the stated region. Experience with DOT regulations and ASE certifications is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; 3 years related field experience or equivalent.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months; DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge.
• Ability to perform PMs, inspections, and light-medium/heavy-duty repairs in mobile/field setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and related systems.
• Document work with RO, upload photos, and maintain accurate records using TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and work within repair timeframes while maintaining safety standards.
