Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, Preventative Maintenance, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will work Tuesday–Saturday, 10am–6:30pm, and travel 100% with a service truck.

The role emphasizes diagnosing electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, maintaining safety standards, and managing parts on the company truck.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of related field experience preferred.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months or as required by DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PM on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling systems, engines, transmissions, and other components.
• Manage parts inventory and accurately document repairs on RO using company tools.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and EPA safety standards and communicate with customers.
