Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive Inc. company, is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field environment.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain various truck and trailer systems while documenting work via the TRAIT app. The role requires 21+ years old, valid CDL/driver’s license, and DOT background screening with potential DOT physicals.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years of related field experience; or 5 years in related field
• ASE T8 certification to be obtained within 18 months
• DOT background screening and DOT physical prior to employment may be required
• Valid state driver’s license and at least 21 years old; 3-year MVR review
• Own and provide a set of hand tools necessary to perform duties

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field setting
• Diagnose, repair, and adjust electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems
• Inspect trailers and perform liftgate, air lines, and brake chamber maintenance
• Document work performed on RO using company iOS device and TRAIT app
• Maintain service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and manage daily schedule
