Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, brake, cooling and engine systems, service trailers, and document findings on RO using TRAIT app.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED with relevant experience, ASE certifications, and DOT compliance. Strong communication and independent work are essential; a company truck and equipment are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; related field experience preferred.
• ASE T8 certification required within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment screening and DOT medical card compliance is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy trucks in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine and transmission systems; perform trailer work.
• Inspect and test equipment, drive vehicles to diagnose issues, and document findings on RO using company iOS device.
• Manage parts inventory and use company vehicle; perform daily safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with customers and management to obtain approvals and provide estimates.
• Maintain high productivity and adhere to standard repair times.
