Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician in Huntington Beach, CA. You will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to heavy repairs on trucks and trailers in a mobile/field setting.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, documentation via TRAIT, parts procurement, and maintaining safety standards on DOT-compliant work orders. This role requires ASE certification timelines and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years’ related field experience.
• ASE T8 certification within 18 months of employment.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance and pre-employment screen.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DQT file.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Carry out repairs and diagnostics on truck and trailer systems including electrical, cooling, brakes, engines, and transmissions.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck operations, including paperwork and RO documentation via TRAIT app.
• Maintain safety and pre/post-trip inspections on equipment and trucks.
