Job summary

Cox Fleet in Irvine, CA is seeking a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance and light-to-mid repairs in a mobile environment. You will diagnose issues, service trucks and trailers, and document findings on RO using our TRAIT app.

The role requires 3 years of related experience (or equivalent), ASE certificates, DOT compliance, and the ability to work independently with safety in mind. We offer training and a clear career path.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• ASE certification (T8) within 18 months and DOT compliance experience preferred.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA pre-employment screening and DOT physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on mobile/field vehicles and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems in mobile settings.
• Document work orders, parts used, and findings using the TRAIT app and on RO forms.
• Coordinate with management and customers to estimate repairs and obtain approvals.
