Job summary

Cox Fleet – A Cox Automotive Company is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs in a mobile/field setting. Flexible work option allows remote work with residency in the specified city/region; travel is 100% across the country.

Typically Monday–Friday with an 7–9 am start; weekends on request. The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a HS diploma or GED, and the ability to operate tools and diagnostic equipment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with related field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Must possess a set of hand tools and be able to perform required duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PM on mobile vehicles in field.
• Diagnose electrical/braking/cooling system issues and repair.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck supplies.
• Document work with photos using TRAIT app and RO system.
• Complete DOT forms accurately and timely.
• Adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
