Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States provides on-site mobile maintenance for trucks and trailers. The Mobile Diesel Technician Level II performs DOT inspections, PMs, and diagnostics in a field/mobile setting, with supervision for advanced tasks.

The role emphasizes safety and adherence to DOT and company policies. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, 3 years’ related experience, ASE T8 certification in 18 months, and a valid CDL/driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related field experience or equivalent combination.
• Own set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• Valid driver’s license and at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Repair electrical, brake, cooling and related systems and components.
• Diagnose, test and repair equipment using handheld devices and gauges.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Manage parts inventory and document RO in TRAIT app.
• Adhere to safety policies and work within standard repair times.
