Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs in a mobile/field setting. You’ll work with light to heavy-duty trucks, document findings, and ensure safety compliance.

The role requires a HS diploma or higher, tool ownership, and ASE T8 certification within 18 months; DOT requirements apply. 100% travel with possible remote work options while residing in the region.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with related experience; or 5 years in field.
• Own set of hand tools to perform duties.
• Ase T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical.
• Valid driver's license; must be 21+; able to operate mobile service truck.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PM on light to heavy-duty vehicles in field.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Record work using company app and upload RO photos.
• Test and road-test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Order parts from approved vendors and manage inventory.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA, EPA safety policies.
