Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive company, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to heavy-duty repairs in a mobile/field setting across client sites. You will diagnose, repair, and test various truck components while maintaining documentation and parts inventory.

The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a HS diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 3 years related experience (or 5 years in related field).
• Own a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DOT-related qualifications (DOT physical, DOT background check).
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification must be obtained within 18 months.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/ braking/ cooling systems and other truck components.
• Test and road test to verify proper operation after service.
• Maintain service vehicle and manage parts inventory on truck.
• Document work and upload RO findings using company devices.
