Job summary

Cox Fleet By Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. This role requires strong diagnostic skills, safety awareness, and the ability to work with clients to meet maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related field experience or alternative combinations.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance and DOT medical card requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose, repair, and adjust electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Road test vehicles to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Manage parts inventory and maintenance documents via RO and TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management and customers to obtain approvals and provide status updates.
