Job summary

Cox Automotive in the USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-medium repairs in a mobile environment. This role requires diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues on trucks and communicating with customers on repair needs.

Work hours are evenings with a Thursday–Sunday schedule; remote work is possible while residing in the specified area. A New Hire Bonus is offered and opportunities for advancement exist within Cox Fleet.

Qualifications

• Experience with DOT inspections and preventative maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and repair diesel systems and electrical components.
• Skilled in using diagnostic tools and handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on fleet vehicles in field/mobile settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, fuel, cooling, and brake systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and identify malfunctions.
• Document findings and parts used on service orders in TRAIT app.
