Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to heavy‑duty vehicle repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will work in a dynamic nationwide service network with 24/7 support and a strong focus on safety and compliance.

The role requires a HS diploma/GED (or equivalent) with 3–5 years in a related field, ASE T8 within 18 months, and the ability to obtain a DOT medical card. Excellent diagnostic skills and reliable mobility are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years’ related field experience or 5 years equivalent.
• Must obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Valid DOT medical card and able to pass DOT background screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT Inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/brake/cooling systems and related components.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment using handheld devices and gauges.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and operate a company‑issued service truck with safety checks.
• Document RO using TRAIT app and upload photos of parts used and findings.
