Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, PM inspections, and light to mid-level repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will work with electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems, and will document findings using the TRAIT app.

The role requires 3 years of related field experience or a HS diploma with equivalent hands-on expertise; ASE T8 certification and DOT medical card preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in a related field or HS diploma/GED with relevant experience.
• Possess hand tools necessary for job duties.
• DOT and FMCSA regulatory compliance required (pre-employment background and DOT physical).

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on trucks and trailers in a mobile/field setting.
• Carry out minor repairs on electrical, brake, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Diagnose and repair trailer equipment and systems, including brakes, air lines and liftgates.
• Document work performed and parts used via iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Maintain and operate service truck and perform daily safety checks.
