Job summary

Cox Automotive USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II for DOT work with a nationwide field footprint. You will perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on trucks and trailers in a mobile environment, ensuring compliance and safety.

The role requires a DOT background, ASE training within 18 months, and a valid driver’s license. You will work a day shift, with travel and a generous bonus structure supporting fleet reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related field experience.
• Must obtain ASE certification T8 within eighteen (18) months.
• DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.
• Candidate must be 21+ years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Must supply own hand tools for job duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine and suspension systems; service trailers as needed.
• Maintain and operate company service truck; conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Document work using RO system and upload photos via iOS device and TRAIT app; communicate findings to customers and management.
