Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Tech II - DOT to perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance for fleets in a mobile setting. The role requires adaptability for remote work within specified areas and a strong safety record.

Ideal candidates have a HS Diploma or GED, 3+ years in related work, and ASE T8 certification within 18 months, with the ability to manage parts and document work using company tools.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years in a related field or equivalent experience.
• ASE T8 certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire; OSHA/EPA/DOT compliance knowledge.
• Must be able to operate hand tools and diagnostic equipment safely; physical endurance for field work.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and repairs on light to heavy trucks in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems on trucks and trailers.
• Maintain safety checks, document work with iOS devices, and manage parts in service truck inventory.
